I’m a complete beginner
You want to feel your energy, calm your mind and build a daily habit that actually sticks. Do this:
- Enroll in Qigong 101 ($45). PDFs plus exclusive video covering the root practice: posture, breath, and how to feel and build Chi. Practise 10 to 20 minutes a day for 30 days.
- Add the free 10-day Zhang Zhuang standing guide for a standing practice you can do anywhere.
- After 30 days, add Tai Chi Ruler Qigong ($20), a rare and very effective method for calming the mind and developing internal energy, and the natural bridge to Tai Chi.

I have some experience
You have practised Qigong, Tai Chi, yoga or meditation before and can feel at least some energy. Skip ahead:
- Qigong 202 ($125): takes the Qigong 101 method to the next level and well beyond, with advanced concepts you simply add to your daily routine.
- Shaolin Chi Kung: the authentic Shaolin approach to developing internal power and abilities.
- Introduction to Internal Alchemy Methods ($75): an 8-part streaming video series on Taoist internal alchemy and Neigong.
- Himm Kong Power Exercises: a fast-acting set for an immediate rush of power, alertness and focus.
If you did not do Qigong 101 with us, we still recommend reading its outline first: it is the shared vocabulary every other course assumes.
I have a specific goal
| Your goal | Start with | Then | Why this order |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reduce stress, sleep better, more daily energy | Qigong 101 | Inner Smile & Six Healing Sounds (free) | The simplest practices give the fastest results for stress and sleep. |
| Heal myself or others | Qigong 101 | Energy Healing | You must be able to feel and build energy before you can direct it into someone else. |
| Internal power / Empty Force | Qigong 101 + standing practice | Shaolin Chi Kung ? Inner Power Empty Force | Empty Force is the top of a ladder; the rungs are posture, standing and stored Qi. |
| Deep meditation, Taoist yoga, longevity | Introduction to Internal Alchemy | Ultra Mi Zong Taoist Yoga | Taoist yoga accumulates, refines and circulates energy; alchemy gives you the map. |
| Tai Chi with real internal content | Tai Chi Ruler Qigong | Tai Chi Ruler Advanced | The Ruler is the classic bridge between Qigong and Tai Chi. |
| Intuition, third eye, manifesting | Open Your Third Eye | Meditations for Manifesting | Both work with yin (receptive) energy; balance them with a little daily Qigong. |
| Standing meditation / Shaolin Zen | Free Zhang Zhuang guide | Shaolin Nei Jing Yi Zhi Chan Qigong | Learn to stand first; then the advanced One-Finger Zen method makes sense. |

Frequently asked questions
Where should a complete beginner start with Qigong?
Start with Qigong 101. It teaches the root practice behind everything else on Develop Your Energy: posture, breathing and how to actually feel Chi in your hands and body. Practise it daily for 30 days before adding anything else. If you want to try before you buy, the free 10-day Zhang Zhuang standing meditation guide uses the same principles.
What order should I take the courses in?
The recommended path is Qigong 101, then Tai Chi Ruler Qigong or Qigong 202, then an intermediate system such as Shaolin Chi Kung or the Introduction to Internal Alchemy series, and finally the advanced courses: Inner Power Empty Force, Energy Healing, Shaolin Nei Jing Yi Zhi Chan or Ultra Mi Zong Taoist Yoga. Each level assumes the skills of the one before it.
Which course is best for energy healing?
Take Qigong 101 first so you can feel and build energy, then the Energy Healing course, which teaches how to sense, direct and project Qi for healing yourself and others. Reiki practitioners often add these two to strengthen their existing practice.
Which course is best for internal power or Empty Force?
Inner Power Empty Force is the dedicated course, but it is an advanced program. Build a foundation with Qigong 101 and a standing practice first; Himm Kong Power Exercises and Shaolin Chi Kung are strong intermediate steps.
Do I need any equipment?
Most courses need nothing but space to stand. The Tai Chi Ruler and Ma Qigong courses use a simple wooden training tool, which is inexpensive and easy to obtain.
How much time do I need each day?
Ten to twenty minutes of daily practice produces steady progress and is far better than an occasional long session. Most students feel warmth or tingling in the hands within two to four weeks of consistent daily practice.
